High Point Market is where Interior Designers and Retailers go to meet new vendors, network with colleagues, and be inspired. It is a marathon of furnishings, fixtures, colors, finishes, and hardware! Below, I’ve put together a selection of the trends and wares that caught MY eye this year.
In recent years it’s been all about gray. We are feeling a bit more optimistic these days and it shows in the colors we want in our homes. Don’t worry though – your gray is as chic as ever and the perfect backdrop for any of this seasons new favorites.

Sunny Yellows and Bright Oranges
Pattern is back in a HUGE way. From wallpaper to upholstery as well as pillows and bedding – we see it everywhere.
Hex is still extremely popular.
Warm and nostalgic mid-century style patterns are in vogue.
Culturally rich patterns add boho flair like these gorgeous throws made from sari fabric.

Shiny metals, matte metals, rustic gold, rose gold, copper, brass – they’re ALL in! Currently, we are trending toward warmer more rustic metal finishes but the layering in of many different types of metals is where things really get interesting.
These bright gold pillows are deliciously glam.
Notice how these copper sculptures mix perfectly with a vibrant teal lamp that has rustic gold accents.

What do all these trends have in common? They are all bold and optimistic with a dash of glam and global flair. Maybe we are all ready to treat ourselves a bit?
