LITTLE HOLLYWOOD

Little Hollywood is a classic example of Modern-Sensual Soul Style, where open and airy architecture is balanced by warmth, texture, and a strong connection to nature. Located in Nashville’s historic Little Hollywood, the home was designed to honor the area’s 1920’s Spanish Revival and Mission-style heritage, blending in as a Modern Mission Style home. We collaborated with our clients from the ground up, designing the architecture and interiors together. Thoughtful massing, plaster walls and rustic beams allow the home to blend with its historic surroundings, earning the Nashville Historic Commission’s Urban Infill Award. Large windows in the second-floor living spaces and a two-sided fireplace linking the living room to a deck overlooking the Greenway invite the outdoors in, creating a home that feels both expansive and connected to its setting. Handmade tile, vintage doors, custom walnut millwork, richly layered textiles, and curated furnishings bring warmth and sensory richness to the home’s modern framework. Colorful vintage rugs and bespoke pillows and drapery layered onto a simple furniture base, with the occasional color washing of more intimate spaces, create a quiet luxury. The result is a home that is sophisticated yet relaxed, designed for gathering, entertaining, creativity, and everyday family life.
