Marcelle Guillebeau’s Workshop Series.
For a Limited Time Only
How much time, energy and money have you invested in your home design projects only to be left unsatisfied and considering a do-over?
If you are redesigning your home, or furnishing it for the first time, there are a few things I invite you to consider. And that is, that your space should be the place where you connect with your heart and soul. It should be more than just beautiful. It should also center and strengthen you while you express your personal aesthetic, or as I call it, your soul style.
Often, my clients come to me when they feel stuck and have invested so much time, money and energy with execution.
They initially believed they knew what “their style” was, but later find themselves feeling overwhelmed and doubtful of their own creative process.
“I want my home to reflect my own style – not just some design trend.”
I hear this all the time. This is why I am bringing you “Discover Your Own Style” workshop series as a prelude to the release my book, The Soulful Home – Design for Authentic Living.
Helping you find your soul style
When my clients approach me, they express a desire to understand their unique signature style. They often call themselves eclectic; They have some ideas of what they like, but they can’t put their finger on it. What they’re seeking is that 4th dimensional aspect and this is what I help them find.
I believe that everyone has their own “style” – which translates into their own “Soulful Home” – a place that reflects their own values and sense of beauty.
“Discover Your Own Style Workshop” – What to Expect
What I bring is geared towards helping you find your center and bridge your ideas with your soul style.
Through my workshop, I will guide you through a process of uncovering your unique vision and show you how to translate it into your soulful home style. You will then learn to convert it into a timeless classic base and evolve it over time through layers. Upon completion, you will have clear vision and a beautiful Vision Board to help you move forward.
My next “Discover Your Own Style” workshop is scheduled for Saturday, November 7th, 2017 and begins at 10:00 AM (Click Product for full details on cart page). “The most helpful thing was figuring out that my aesthetic and lifestyle are not aligned! Great content with an approach that was digestible with logical methodology.”
“Marcelle took time in the front end to get a feel for what exactly I wanted my house to look like and more importantly, how I wanted my house to feel. She has the ability to take my taste and make it look a million times better”
Janin’s Design Story
Janin had just purchased her dream home — An un-renovated 50’s ranch style home with a large u-shaped kitchen that opened to a breakfast room. She placed her vintage Midcentury dinette table and chairs in the breakfast room and then waited for the happy embrace of family and friends. But no one stayed in the kitchen with her no matter how many ways she rearranged. Frustrated and determined, she joined my Workshop.
Janin knew she needed a different solution to her breakfast room seating, but she didn’t know what, or where to put it. She was concerned about having a costly custom made solution. She brought me several Pinterest boards showing an assortment of furniture and ideas. She just didn’t know where to go with it all.
Janin discovered that her “Style Combination” was “Traditional and Sensual”. While she could have guessed the sensual part (she is, after all, an artist, who loves colors and textures), she would never have pegged herself as Traditional. It’s not Janin’s preferred style of furniture (Midcentury) that makes her Traditional, rather, it’s how she relates to it. For her, Midcentury vintage furniture reminds her of her small town family roots. Janin is what I call a “Home and Hearth Traditionalist”.
By the end of my Level I Workshop, Janin realized that the her biggest priority of the kitchen redo was a cozy, comfy booth seat to draw in her family to sit and stay a while. That booth would be the anchor for her new, homey and inviting breakfast room. Her vintage furniture which I helped her curate would get an automatic update without even being refurbished. And from the Style Vision Board Janin created, she was able to get clear ideas about the vibrant colors and textures it would be made of. She was no longer stuck and on a mission to create that booth seat!
